Rodarte for Opening Ceremony autumn/winter 2011

16 Aug

The Mulleavy sisters never disappoint, even when it comes to lower prices collaborations. Their second collection for Opening Ceremony is typical Rodarte, capturing an ethereal, otherworldly beauty which belongs to another era. Inspired by Scandinavia, Nordic prints and Fair Isle knits are littered throughout this pretty collection. The long silhouettes with tiers, ruffles and gentle wisps of fabrics in nude, pastel shades are simply dreamy.

New season Opening Ceremony!

29 Jul

New Opening Ceremony!! These shoes just landed in my inbox and I just had to share. Some of the shoes are more transitional, but they all have a pretty wintery feel to them – but in a good way. I love Winter because it’s all about the textures and this little collection has got bundles of texture – wooly mohairs, soft furs, sumptuous suede and a nice smattering of embellishment. The mohair wedges and the faux-sock shoes are my absolute favourites.

All available now at Super Sweet Shop, except the faux-socks which drop in September.

Shoe obsession – multi buckle wedges

2 Jul

I have a slight obsession with wedges which have straps or buckles. Granted, they are pretty much in every store but I’ve found myself naturally gravitating towards them. They seem like the perfect hybrid between comfy flats and heels. They’re also increbily versatile, I’ve tried them on with skirts, harems and combats. Can you tell I’m smitten?? Here are my top 3 on the high-street:

Oasis multi buckle wedge sandals – £40 in the sale

ASOS Randal buckle wedge shoes – £25 in the sale

Topshop Anarchy multi buckle wedges – £80

My favourite non high-street version are these lust worthy Opening Ceremony wedges, aren’t they amazing?!
