TOMTOM Jewellery arrives at Nyla Boutique

18 Oct

During one of my regular ‘look at pretty things on Nyla Boutique’ sessions, I discovered that they cheekily added another fabulous jewellery
brand to their impressive brand roster – TOMTOM Jewellery. If the name sounds
familiar, it’s because designer Elena Coleman Howell designed a capsule
collection for Walt Disney Signatures for the film TRON: Legacy. It only takes
a quick peek at the precision and geometric shapes of the ‘Future 70s’
collection to realise that designer Elena’s background as a trained architect
is a huge inspiration for her designs. It may be a little predictable, but I
fell in love with this statement necklace from the collection. I love the
dreamy deep blue of lapis and it contrasts really well with the antique brass.

As with any great piece of jewellery, I can imagine wearing it in about a
million different ways. I’ve showcased two below: contemporary and classic. The
necklace is simple enough to be dressed down with a simple slogan tee and some
edgy metallic trousers. The blue suede platforms echo colour of the lapis
stones almost perfectly, pulling the outfit together. The classic outfit
features a chic, figure flattering dress from the Mary Portas range at House of
Fraser. The shoe boots add a little bit of an edge while the ring echoes the
triangle shapes in the necklace. How would you wear the necklace?

The Queen of Shops is set to become Queen of the High Street.

Mary Portas’ range for House of Fraser has officially launched! Part clothing line and part retail revolution, the range is available at House of Fraser Oxford Street and online. The store has a really luxe feel, each member of staff has been selected by Mary herself so expect nothing but the best service. To give it an even more luxe feel, it can only be accessed by a private express lift and there are even Bell Boys on hand to wait on you. the range itself is designed for women rather than young girls, focusing on edgy, grown up investment pieces…without the hefty price tag. Those red/pink/coral jeans have flown right to the top of my wishlist!

First look at Dasha Zhukova’s Garage magazine.

Kova & T founder and one time Pop editor Dasha Zhukova has a new venture and it looks rather racy. Her highly anticipated magazine Garage hits newstands on 5th September has three covers with the theme ‘inked’ with Damien Hirst and Richard Prince each designing a butterfly tattoo cover. The third cover features Nick Knight and Dinos Chapman’s image of a doll house complete with the perfect doll – Lily Donaldson.

Diesel launch Loverdose perfume.

Diesel have just launched their edgy new perfume called Loverdose, a portmanteau of love overdose. Love the name and love the bottle. Described as “a beautiful but deadly weapon of seduction” to “ignite passions like never before”,

Jarlo’s AW11 behind-the-scenes video.

How adorable is Jarlo‘s autumn/winter 2011 video?! The London-based label has stayed true to it’s cute, vibrant and vintage-inspired roots with the video. Bagsy the tartan cape and polkadot pussy bow dress.
